Are there too many questions on the forms on-line consultation?

Most of my queries Internet end when I see the list of organizations the bins will fill in. For example, started to get a quote from British Gas. From what I see, all we need is the postcode (if that there are regional differences in prices), my consumption, and the payment method. Anything else is nothing to do with them unless they agree to change. I'm tired of these orgs waste time. I do not want bulk of their marketing data. Maybe in the long term benefit from the enormous targeted marketing campaign, but in my case the customer is alway lost. Does anyone else have a problem with this?

Absolutely. I do not mind giving my email address – I have a configuration special just for the "masses", like this. But giving my phone number? Forget it. I have enough telemarketers calling me. It's ridiculous what they want. In Canada, we PIPEDA, which is our privacy regulation. In theory, this means that agencies can not collect the data, unless you're going to use it.
